The City Council will ban homeless camping on six streets in Austin:
[ol]
  • Guadalupe St.
  • W. 24th St.
  • Congress Ave. to Oltorf St.
  • 2nd St.
  • 5th St.
  • 6th St.
  • [/ol]This is an admission that homeless camping does, in fact, harm public safety, or they would not be banning it on these streets. If you are fortunate enough to live and/or work on one of these streets, then you will benefit. But the vast majority of Austinites will not benefit and homeless camping will increase everywhere else.
got to keep the image up for tourists. but, **** anyone that actually lives and works here.

Everyone thinks the homeless causes the large fire this morning that destroyed apartment structures and cars.

yup, dude was on reddit saying his apartment burned down and that he reported the homeless camp multiple times. he actually jumped in front of a camera this morning while the fire chief was trying to do an interview.

The progressive majority is getting the "unintended" consequences of the virtue signaling policies of the people they voted for. It's what they want, apparently. I just think the hubris of many of those same people complaining about it is remarkable hypocrisy.

this whole city would light itself on fire for the sake of being weird. Its 100% cutting off their nose to spite their face (texas). Unfortunately, some of us have to live in this cesspit...
