I never understood Bc they reportedly had to fix something in the tracks and land near the springs in the park.
They wanted a 5 year agreement before sinking money into the repairs. Another operator, regardless of train, should have to make those same repairs if it's a safety concern.

There would have been a time when I would have more or less agreed with you. Those times are becoming less and less frequent. I'm in a MUD that has so far avoided annexation by COA, so we're not quite suburban. Austin used to be a city where people could agree to disagree. There were gun loving democrats, conservative gays, and tree hugging republicans, and a whole lot of interesting points of view. The city's politics, nimby-ism, expense, and overall hassle have made doing things around town a chore. I've been to events in Cedar Park (basketball, and hockey), Round Rock (baseball, music, etc.), and Pflugerville (water park with the kiddo) more often than I've ventured toward Central Austin in the past several years. Things may change as my son gets older but right now I tend to look outward rather than into town for cheap, easy, accessible fun.

The point is why complain about Austin and things that happen here if you don't live in Austin. Most of us that live here enjoy it for what it is, even if things seem a little crazy for you.

They should take that train to Waco and run it near Chip and JoJo's place. They would do killer business there.
