Howdy Ags,

I was recently laid off from my job here in Austin and was hoping to get some feedback on where I should look for a job during the pandemic. I am currently living in the Round Rock area.

I have applied to the places I know are hiring (HEB, Home Depot, etc..) but haven't gotten a response yet.

Any recommendations on where else I could look for any type of work? Want to get as many applications in as possible.

I'm class of '14 with a BS in MBIO but have a background in finance (fairly small amount of experience) and am Series 7 licensed, customer service jobs, and warehouse/freight and receiving.

Any recs would be greatly appreciated!

Dell or Samsung I guess. Don't know what you did before or what you want to do. Not what mbio is.

Sorry about the job loss, this is a tough time for it. Heard Home Depot is hiring like crazy now for the next 90-120 days.

Might check out Kasasa, great company and looks like they're hiring. Financial tech with lots of room to move around within the company.

I know ace audio is hiring a ton of people. They do av consultation and installs.

Dell is on a hiring freeze for the foreseeable future, as are many other (if not most) IT companies.

Facebook is still hiring during these times. There are openings at the Austin campus downtown.

There's an opening on my team, it isn't directly microbiology-related but close.
