An elderly friend of mine lives South (near William Cannon and 35). I live far north.

I mowed her front lawn a couple weeks ago, but her back lawn is much too high for my mower to handle (8-10" tall all over). She needs a lawn service with small riding lawn mower or zero turn type mower.

She is currently in the hospital, and I'm trying to take care of this for her. I'll be paying for the service.

I cannot find anyone who will go mow it, without setting up a reoccurring service, or without setting up an account, or requiring the home owner to be there.

Anyone know of a company that will go mow it, and just charge me? Appreciate any recommendations

We had Allandale Lawn & Landscaping do a one-time mow and some flowerbed work at our house before it went on the market. They were reasonable on price and got the work done quick.

If it was North, I would offer to have my son go do it. That far South puts it out of my range and I would have to borrow a mower to cut it, if a normal mower won't.

If you take a half width instead of full width sometimes your mower can handle it taller. It might look a little butchered, but it'll be shorter.

Thanks...appreciate the offer Angler, and the advice Mule. My boys and I tried to mow it, but it's just too thick.

I have a pretty nice self propelled Honda...and it was too much for it, even doing half rows.

One of the zero turn mowers you see landscaping crews with would cut it without a problem.

that's what i had to do with our back yard when we bought our place. might not look amazing, but it'll work.
