Been a minute since I've had a chicken fried steak. Angel's Icehouse between Bee Caves and Spicewood is pretty good. Not Dirty's (Houston) good but pretty good.

My local go-to's are no more. In Round Rock. Out of business. I have heard great things about Texan Cafe in Hutto. I'm going to try it soon but it is a bit farther than I like.
It's a chain but twin Peaks is pretty good. Also another chain here is Cotton Patch Cafe.

Not something I eat often but the last memorable one I ate was at Jacoby's on Cesar Chavez.

Waterloo at 620 and 2222 does a good CFC. Comes with green beans with bacon pieces, just like grandma made'em.
My girlfriend is from Seattle, has never even heard of a Chicken Fried Steak. We need to fix that this weekend. Thanks for the recs. Shoutout if anyone has some near the east side.

Texan Cafe in Hutto is solid, great entrees including chicken fried steak and their lineup of pies is akin to cheesecake factory's lineup of cheesecakes

Dahlias in Liberty Hill has a pretty solid CFS. The jalapeño cream gravy takes it up a notch.

Chez Zee has a good one
"Chez Zee" and "chicken fried steak" do not belong together. Chez Zee has " Steak frit au poulet".

Gold Burger Diner by the courthouse in Georgetown is awesome! They make a good Old Fashioned too!
