We have a group of folks meeting in Austin for my wife's 30th and am having issues picking a spot to go. We have a group of about 12-15 people. Not really looking for something super fancy, but something a little more formal than Bangers on Rainey.

Does it need to be on official sit down restaurant situation? A lot of super cool breweries with incredible food that would be fun.

I've heard good things about Canje but never been. It's also right next to Lazarus which is one of my favorite breweries in Austin.

That would be pretty cool if they still did that!

I wanted to take that route but she's kind of a wine-o more than a seltzer/beer person. So I wasn't sure if she'd enjoy that aspect

Does it have to be downtown? Steiner ranch steakhouse would be great for out of towners.

It doesn't necessarily need to be downtown, but I am not trying to drive to Bee Cave or Round Rock lol

Now that I think about it Salt Traders would be a solid option. Not super fancy, would probably be easy to get a group in, and their food is good. I know they have multiple locations too.

We did a big group birthday dinner at Lin's which was fun. With a group that large they put you in a private room.

We did that at Lin's. It was a nice accommodation.

My personal preference, but I try to avoid going to a chain (Maggianos) that can be found in any city. Having said that, you take what you can get when trying to book a 12-15 person group.

Have you considered Sway in WL/Rollingwood off 2244? They have some bigger seating areas.

North at the Domain is good. My wife likes to drink grape juice and she enjoys North.

Siena, Roaring Fork off of Braker Lane, Wildfire in Georgetown, Bartletts on Anderson Lane, and Eddie V's downtown Austin just to name a few.

Any preferred cuisine?
