We had a lot of of kids intern at AMD. Mostly the ones from Cornell, ATM, GT, and tu type schools ended up getting hired. However, they took kids from U of H and tu not Austin, etc. The ones I worked with got meaningful experience. Never had a non ATM, Florida, or tu intern from an SEC school get hired. I would try AMD, Intel, and NXP, only because I've worked at those companies and know them well. They all love(d) interns at one point in time. AMD is by far the best at the moment if you're looking for AI experience, which you should be if employment is your goal.
