Does Putu still have an Omni FW connection?

I want to give a friend and her husband a night out. He has been deployed for a year and gets back sometime in March. They have three kids and she has a full time career. Just the three kids and two working parents is exhausting…but add his deployment to that…oof!

Anyways, some neighbors are getting a gc to a nice restaurant And I figured I'd look into a hotel.

But the catch: neither my friend or her husband are the type to tell the front desk, "It's been a ****ty year bc he's been deployed and she's been burning her candle at both ends and the middle." I just want the hotel to know in case it wants to throw in a bottle of champagne…or give a break on the nightly rate.

So anyways….anyone have the hook up at Omni? Or another downtown FW hotel?

Don't know if he's still there but was remembering him a few days ago talking our trips to Fort Worth and SF. Good dude. The Aggie Special was special.

Omni is a great hotel and years ago PUTU helps us out, but that has been 13+ years.

Also consider the Drover Hotel in the Stockyards. Its incredibly nice and convenient.

I have no hookups at either hotel, but call and ask to speak to one of the managers and let them know what you are trying to do. They may be able to upgrade, give you a great rate and who knows may even donate a night or two. Answer is always no if you never ask the question.

Again, awesome gesture.

I called the Ashton, she was going to speak with her manager.

Drover is a great idea, too!

But I may put this on ice. Just learned that my friend and her hubs are going to Vegas. I've gotten the name of her hotel and their dates, so I may send them some stuff to their room.

putu got my wife and I an upgrade for an anniversary night we spent at the Omni. I'll always be grateful for the kind gesture.

Drover or Dryce are the new "It" hotels in FW. The Omni is........meh. Or you can check out the new boutiques downtown like the Kimpton, the new AC, Ashton, or the Sinclair. Honestly, I bet you can pitch this idea to the staff at the Hilton (where JFK spent his last night) and they might hook you up.
