All,

Will most likely be heading to the area in late July for a 4 day swim meet. Will be swimming in the morning than hopefully resting in the early afternoon then head back to the pool in the early evening for finals.

Looking at some places on vrbo/ Airbnb close to AT&T stadium near the intersection of AT&T way & E Division street is that an alright part of town?
I have not been to Arlington in 20+ years and do not recall that area before the new stadium was built.
Wife and daughter might be going but not myself.

If that is not a good part of town where would you recommend staying close to the AISD Nat?

Thanks

Not a great part of town right there. The good news is Arlington isn't too big so anywhere you stay is still fairly close. You may look in Dalworthington Gardens or Pantego. Those are small townships in the middle of Arlington and are 10-12 minutes at most from the natatorium. You may also look north of I-30. Avoid east Arlington.

No stayed at a hotel for the swim meet a couple of months ago up near Alliance airport, swim meet was at northwest Isd nat.
With an apartment can have a real kitchen, instead of needing to do take out or order food for delivery.

Would appreciate any recommendations for hotels close to that area but in a decent part of town.

Thanks for the help.

There are tons of hotels in the Entertainment District by AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Six Flags. The Rangers are out of town the second half of July.

The area south of the Entertainment District/Division Street and east of downtown/UTA is not a great part of town.

These options are all pretty nice, built within the last 5 or so years, close to the natatorium, and safe areas. That section of downtown Arlington has seen a revitalisation in recent years. Closest grocery stores are going to be Ann's natural foods which recently opened downtown or the whole foods and Kroger off Lamar north of 30.

There's a nice Air BNB just north of 30 between 360 and 161. Without traffic, it's about 10minutes to the ballpark/cowboys stadium. Recently remodeled, 5 BR with a pool. Last I looked it was in the $600/night range and slept 14.

You need to go either far north Arlington or way south. Stay away from any houses remotely close to the stadium / central Arlington - those weren't good areas in the 90s much less now.
