Hello all,

Have lived in DFW for almost 3 years now since my graduation and still have not established a PCP. Currently living in Richardson and would love a Richardson or North Dallas PCP. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good PCP that is taking new patients?

If it helps, my philosophy around healthcare could be considered lifestyle centric. Would like a PCP that would not be afraid to speak up if I started packing on the lbs and would push lifestyle interventions before pills.

Second Dr. Kaye. He's great, I've been seeing him for a few years. It can take a while to get in to see him though.

My PCP at Baylor S&W downtown just went "private". Still at Baylor S&W but now you get the opportunity to pay $2000 annually on top of all the normal medical costs.

Mine at the same hospital system did the same on 1 July. He and two others now office in Plano. He is also a good friend. I asked him why. He said he had practiced nearly 20 years and many of the physicians are frustrated with the bureaucracy and passing blame at big medicine.

They have the same $2000 per year charge plus I think they have a per call charge as well. I am retired and have to put up with Medicare or I would have gone with him. He is an excellent physician.

If you're okay with Plano, I love Dr Mihaela Perijoc. She actually spends time with you during your appointments, mine are something like 30-45 min long depending on what they are. She is functional health so she looks at the whole situation for addressing root cause and doesn't just treat the symptom.

Dr. Norman Clothier at Methodist Plano, he spends at least 20-30 mins with you (if issues are found)

Dr Steven Edwards at Baylor Scott and White in Garland (190 and Shiloh). Aggie and a great doc.
