The 2 nieces will be in town and want to go to Six Flags. I'm not a fan but that's what they want. Anyone been recently? I was looking at the Flash Pass to avoid the long lines but wondering if it's worth it? Long lines in this heat is what I'm not looking forward to.

We have Six Flags season passes and enjoy going as a family, but we don't go anytime between late May and September. Much better experience in the fall/winter/spring.

Went last week on the hottest day of the year. It was fun, during the week a lot of the shops and food courts were closed but still had some open. Most of the rides were open and lines were short but some of the rides had some down time, I assume because of the heat.

We go rather often and really enjoy it. We have season passes, so it's a cheap activity for our family. During the week I wouldn't waste money on a flash pass as the lines are non-existent.

Also DO NOT ride the new pirate cave thing. Have your nieces kick you in the junk and save the waste of time. We went the first day that ride opened. Maximum disappoinment from my younger two.

Do you think the same even on a Friday? If so, that would save me a chunk of change. Currently the day pass tickets are $45 but they currently have a buy 2 get 1 free offer on. The 1/2 wait time flash pass is $85/person.

I'm not 100% sure we've gone on a Friday, but if you're talking during the day, I doubt it would be busy. Maybe it would pick up in the evening. We've even been on Saturdays and it's more busy, but still not like I remember it used to being.

Went on a Friday a few weeks ago, same situation as you with family in town. Only times we waited more than 5ish minutes to ride a ride was the Mr. Freeze and the indoor roller coaster.

We had a lot of fun despite the heat. Park employees say most people pack into Hurricane Harbor in the summer since the season pass gets you into both.

It is flag. Just the American flag x 6. At least that is what they have done at Fiesta Texas.

We go about once / year. FP is almost always a waste of $. I think you can probably still buy it once you get to the park, so it things sucked - that could be an option.

Last time I was there, I could have ridden the Giant or the Titan 10x/hour.
