I'm taking my 7 year old son to his first game on Sunday. We're going for batting practice but I was curious how the autograph opportunities work out now that the nets run from foul pole to foul pole? Is there a spot where the kids gather to wait on the players? Is it just not available any more?

I'm going to try to get him on to run the bases after the Sunday afternoon game. Any other fun must-do's while we're at the new park? I haven't been to a game there since it opened.

There are life sized bobbleheads of Pudge Rodriguez, Michael Young, and Adrian Beltre next to the Wiffle Ball Park.

Is it a day-game?

If so, check to see if the teams are conducting on-field batting practice that fans can see.

Went to the last game of last season and the gates opened 1.5 or 2 hours before 1st pitch only to discover no on-field batting practice (but maybe it was due to last game of season for both the Rangers and the Indians/Guardians)

Was frustrating to get into the stadium only to discover no teams hitting bp.

Yeah it's a 1:05 start.

Would they even announce that or post that somewhere?

Better check because most teams don't do batting practice on Sundays.
