We are moving to Dallas near White Rock Lake (Casa Linda area). Anyone have recommendations for gyms nearby with full court pick-up games?

I'm planning to visit a few places (LA fitness, YMCA, Lifetime), but it's always tough to get a feel for how often people are there playing and what the competition is like.

Is been a few years but both the LA fitness on Skillman and lovers had consistent games after work. Lovers one was many times too busy.

If you are just looking for a pick-up game, your best bet is going to be Harry Stone on Ferguson in the Casa View area. If you are also looking at the workout facilities then the ones you listed are obviously your best bet.

I'm at the YMCA on Gaston pretty much every day and there's always people playing full court.

You shirts or skins?

I've been part of a consistent game M-W-F at Lifetime Premier Place. We run at 5:45 am, but there are pretty consistent games there throughout the day.

I ended up joining the White Rock YMCA. They have a group of 30's - 40's somethings that play most weekdays at lunch and a run early Saturday mornings.

Harry Stone Rec center was a great recommendation. $15 for the year if you are a city of Dallas resident and only want to use the basketball gym. Apparently it's hit or miss on pick-up games, but there's a group of former high school / college players that play every Monday. Big run on Saturday mornings as well.
