I need to rebuild my fence gate. Last time I bought lumber at Lowes/HD I swore I'd never do it again. It was crappy, bowed, you name it.

A search for yards turns up a lot of flooring places. They may sell actual lumber but I'd like to get recommendations from people that have bought from there. Does Elliots sell good lumber? Anywhere else? I don't mind going somewhere around DFW, even in Denton, Collin, or surrounding counties if necessary.

Try Teague in fw. They're usually willing to work with the individual. When we replaced some rotten wood on our 1915 home they were helpful. Not sure if he's still there but there was a good Ag that works there.

I second Teague. Old school lumber yard for professionals and serious DIYers.

Ivey Lumber and if they don't carry your dimensions, they will put in an order for you at Snavely Forest Products just up the road.

I had a third contact but can't find it. The pre-stained fencing material from Northside is what I used for mine and my neighbor's fence. They were great. This was pre-2020 though, so no idea what the pricing would be.

The third was Viking fence supply, but I'm less familiar with them.

If you're looking for cedar fence lumber I'd recommend Viking fence supply in Garland/far NE Dallas. I did my own fence three years ago and priced out all the local cedar places and they were the cheapest.
