We are likely moving to the Burleson area in the next couple of months. Searching for a good place to live. We will likely rent for awhile before settling on a location to buy (and in hopes interest rates will drop). Any recommendations for area, school district, rentals, etc. is greatly appreciated.

TIA

We have a kid in 2nd grade in Burleson ISD. We are very happy with the school and our child's academic progress.

Other nearby areas you may consider with good school districts:

- Joshua
- Godley
- Grandview

Where are you moving from? What is important to you regarding schools? How old are your kids? Do you like living in a more dense or rural area? Will you be commuting? What other things are important to you about where you live?

My kids go to Burleson ISD and we love it. Burleson elementary schools are zoned but some are chosen as "choice" schools. One specializes in Math & Science, one in Tech, one in the Arts. So if your child has an interest in these areas, you can enroll your kids to one of them.

Thanks for the questions. Coming from the Bryan/College Station area. Our kids are young, the oldest wouldn't be going to school until year after next. We have lived in both rural and somewhat suburban areas. We probably prefer more rural. We will be working in the area, so we won't be commuting into the city. We don't mind a reasonable drive from home to work. We want a safe, family area that would have a good community feel.

As Bernard Kansas stated:

- Grandview (smaller, most rural, good schools, close to I35)
- Godley (larger than Grandview, closer to Joshua/Burleson, good schools)
- Joshua (larger than Godley, close to Chisolm Trail Toll, good schools)

Burleson ISD is good too, just much larger than the others listed, but similar to the B/CS schools I suppose.

If commute isnt a problem you might add Glen Rose. It's a wonderful little community with fantastic scenery, topography, and outdoor activities. Kind of the start to the Texas Hill Country. Great schools too. If you need to get to Fort Worth the toll road is fabulous (but expensive). Once I retire i may be headed there.

Big fan of Glen Rose and Granbury! Glen Rose has a great school district and great amenities for a small town.

I can set you up with a email search for properties in those areas & others that you may be interested in, that way you can start getting familiar with the market.

Oh and we also rebate half of the commission!

We moved to Burleson just over four years ago. My wife is a teacher I. Mansfield, we have church friends who taught in Joshua then moved to godley, and our neighbor teaches in BISD. Elementary in BISD is good. After that, have heard some not so great things. Most could be said of any school district these days. We've loved it here, but will likely leave to get wife closer to Mansfield.
