Need to have a big oak tree cleaned up a little. Nothing major probably requiring a true arborist, just someone trustworthy with general knowledge and the tools.

I've had good experiences these last several years with both Texas Tree Surgeons and Hernandez Tree Experts at my previous house that had 3 live oaks. Fair pricing and clean work, and their services included hauling too. Both businesses have certified arborists and they care about the health of your trees.

Need to get some similar work done. Recently got a quote to get one oak tree trimmed up. Nothing major at all other than removing some dead limbs and getting a few trimmed back from touching the roof.

Quote was $675. Seems astronomically exorbitant but i have no feel for the market in this right now. About 8 years ago i got an entire massive tree removed and ground down for $1k. Also in North Dallas so realize will pay more than rural areas.

Used Davey and had good results with a reasonable price.

Several quotes, and theirs was the best (licensed and insured). Even took down a 50yo tree that extended over the neighbors house.

Ended up going with Hernandez Tree Experts. Easy to work with. Fair price and they threw in / offered to include some little clean up things around the yard other than just the tree.
