We Ags love to tell and hear a good story so I'm opening this up with a question! What was the strangest interview you've ever had, whether it was right out of school or more recent!

And now on to what's happening in the B2B world:
Why consider a career in blue and grey collar industries?

For one, they are normally very stable and consistent. For another, they are growing at a rapid rate. The number of job vacancies in these fields increased by 301% in the last year! Industries like electrical, plumbing, fluid power, mechanical, building materials and others offer a variety of positions that have great compensation, flexibility and upward mobility.

If you have experience and/or interest in technical inside or outside sales, procurement, operations, logistics or estimating please reach out. I'd love to help you find a great place to stay and grow!

I am so proud to create a home for amazing companies and talented individuals to find the perfect career match.
This site is not for the masses it is a specific, tailored approach to hiring in our "little" underground world of B2B Industry. Think of it like a match.com for industry, with a lot less selfies!

Interviewing for a financial position. Candidate had close to a 4.0 in nuclear engineering from Georgia Tech and a 4.0 in his MBA from Minnesota. Supposedly the highest score on the CPA the year he took the exam…..about 24 months after his first accounting course. Seemed like red flag for a personality disorder, but I thought I'd talk to him anyway. Told me during the interview that if his urine test comes back positive for VD that it's a false positive….that he always tests positive for VD. I did not ask any kind of prompting question.

I hired the guy….one of the best employees I ever hired. Quickly recognized he was too talented in finance department and moved him to operations. Two years later we/he won second place in a National industrial engineering competition . Was related to an optimization project I put him on that saved us $30M a year and caused us to become profitable. Then took him overseas to Europe. Would always order milk at nice bars and inevitably would accidentally get jammed while going through revolving doors…..too impatient to wait for others ahead. Lots of other great stories about the guy…..back in the day.

Quote:

Greggo: We're talking to the number one cop in Dallas, the #1 cop, the commissioner, chief of police, David Kunkle.
What umm, do you like this gig?
Kunkle: No. I, I, uh, uh, uh love my job. It's a. .. .
Greggo: I the, that wasn't the question. Do you…do do do you like your job?
Kunkle: No, I said, do i love, maybe i didn't understand the question.
Greggo: Ok. I, I mean do you like being chief of police.

For some reason the prompt brought this classic to mind.
