I have been a long time patient at Texas Oncology at Medical City Dallas. I need to start thinking about finding a new Dr. A competent staff would also help. I haven't had much luck w/various types of Drs that I have seen at UTSW. Any suggestions? Baylor downtown? Open to ideas.

How far are you willing to drive? I help run a heme/onc practice in DFW. My best heme/onc doctors are in Fort Worth.

Sorry you're having to go through this. You're right to look for the DOCTOR rather than the hospital though. Too often people say go here or there, but it's really all about the doctor. I've been a patient (brain cancer) at UTSW (sorry you've had bad luck there) for almost 17 years and I would follow my doctor to any hospital she went to even if it was across the country. I hope you find an equally awesome oncologist in your field!

My blood cancer doctor at Texas Oncology @ downtown Baylor is Dr. Pearson. He's an excellent doctor and also an Aggie.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this and not getting the care you desire. I'd reccomend Bradley Christensen at Baylor Sammons Center. He's an aggie as well!

Micah Burch, also at Baylor, is a blood specialist (all he does) and extremely good dude. Wouldn't hesitate to send any family member to him.

Dr. Lance Mandell helped me a few years back and I really liked him. He also happened to be an Aggie. He was in Fort Worth at the time, but appears he is now practicing in Tyler. Wish you the best.

Thanks everyone that has commented so far. I actually just got out of the hosp trying to recover from pneumonia. I actually have DLBCL Double Hit Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have had multiple chemo treatments & in June 2020 I had Car T which saved my life. Basically I have no immune system so I have multiple issues that I can not overcome. Hoping to get more answers this week & changing onco is still part of my plan. It is just gonna be a process to work thru. Thanks!
