Hi all in a car accident yesterday. Other driver is completely liable and their insurance is paying. Need to select a body shop, does anyone have commendations for a good shop in Richardson or north Dallas?

Thank you

Do NOT use Collision Masters in downtown Richardson. Dealt with those clowns several years ago and they attempted to commit fraud against my auto insurance (waiving deductible) while also cheaping out with poor quality recycled/aftermarket parts.

Home Page | Quality Colors (qualitycolorscollision.com)

I haven't had to use them in a while, but I did a couple smaller body and paint repairs with Quality Colors in 2018/19 and I was very happy with their service and work. They're kind of old school and take a bit more time because they actually have a clue as to what they are doing. The shop isn't very big. They are in NE Dallas off Jupiter. They handle the insurance stuff.

How major or minor do you think the damage is? Will want to be sure whether they are totalling the car out or not.

I typically use the dealer for the brand of car myself, although there haven't been that many opportunities for us.

What make/model of car do you have?

I just had a minor fender bender and took my car to CarStar MVP. It's an Audi with a Diesel engine so wanted to make sure that whoever worked on it Was certified and knew what they were doing.

It was pretty expensive for what it was but I also made sure to ask the estimator (Mo) to make sure to use OEM parts which I believe was part of the reason the price was high. Quality of work was A+ and they gave updates on the car pretty regularly. Only complaint is it that one of the parts that was originally sent was wrong so it pushed my completion date by a another 5 days (including the weekend). It's located in Farmers Branch off of Belt Line.

Side note, we DID NOT have rental coverage so I asked them to pre order the parts and to let me know when they were in so it would limit my time without the car as it was still drivable. CarStar was great in working with me on that.

Guess that the lesson learned was to have them order the parts, have them in place and open the box to verify they are the correct parts when dropping the car off and before starting the work. Otherwise was a good experience for you.

Our go to is The Body Shop. Had several good experiences over the years. They have several locations around the northern suburbs.
