Looking for any recommendations regarding termite extermination/control.

Companies in the Fort Worth area?

Had Termites back in 2021. Had three companies come out. Ended up going with Metro guard out of Hurst.

Do you mind sharing a little about your experience? It seems like such a terrible pain. Our home is brand new and we are beyond upset the builder didn't offer to pre-treat; it's just not something that crossed our mind.

I do quite a bit of handyman work as a side gig and can say I've never seen termites as bad as I've seen this year, and it's not isolated to any one area. In my experience Terminix has done the best job of getting rid of them, they are expensive but the old adage "Buy once, cry once" comes to mind.

Last April, we came home after being gone for several hours one afternoon and had them all over our living room. It was a day they were swarming really bad and we have French doors leading outside which don't have the best seal. Mind you, this was in our brand new build, only been there about 6 weeks. We had three companies come out and none saw evidence of termites but said if they were in our living room, we could have them. They all told us it would take 2-3 years before any real damage could be done so we decided to gamble and wait and see if we ever saw any evidence of them. On Sunday, I found four inside. I haven't seen anymore, but of course, I'm once again suspicious.
