The TAMU Talent Development Council put out this tip last week, it could not have been more relevant to both the current hiring environment, as well as to the core values of what I'm building on my job board website.
"Recruiting is a lot like dating. When you know who you are, what you are looking for and what type of person will be a good fit, you are able to narrow down options to a potential partnership a lot faster. Knowing how your company works is essential for creating efficiencies inside workflow processes.
It is also necessary for making the right hire. High performers are 400 times more productive than average performers. Finding high-performing talent for your company requires knowing how your internal teams operate and what qualities a candidate must have. Any given candidate may have one or more of your top traits, but knowing the trait that best fits your team's culture, workstyle and needs will result in finding the perfect fit."
