like why did they build the new 20W/287S ramp exactly the same as the previous one?

I understand the 20W-287S bridge. The radii on the last half mile nad that bridge were weird. But they probably really needed to have the bridge supports at different locations.
BTW - that Bowman Springs bridge is getting torn down. If you use that, life is gonna get hard.
