My son got a new job at the Fort Worth Zoo and is looking for a small inexpensive apartment in that area or a 30 to 45 minute drive. Any help would be appreciated.
Lived in a similar rental in Fairmount 15 years ago. Neighbor was a nice man with a back injury on disability who sold drugs. Nice guy. Wonder how he is. His neighbor was a nice retired couple with tiny dogs.
He may have some good luck at The Foundry Apartments. I've been working on the financing/refinancing of that deal and toured/drove it a few times. It's about 15-20 minutes from the zoo. The 1-bedroom is about $1000/month
Townhome style, been renovated, owner is a former Fighter Pilot turned Real Estate Guru. Good guy and it's a good apartment. Not the luxury but you also are getting a decent deal on rent IMO.
I would contact the Fairmount/Ryan Place facebook page admin and see if he could post something there. There are a ton of garage apartments in our area.
Ya, garage apartment... look at the neighborhood pages - specifically check Ryan Place, Fairmount, Mistletoe Heights, & Berkeley. I lived in a duplex right off Forest Park up the hill from the zoo after graduation.
