I get that they can't just shut the station down when the Musers retire, but it's going to become unlistenable when they promote more of the Tier 3 guys because they won't have the budget to bring in anyone else.

This discussion is depressing because it's probably coming sooner than we think it is.

Said it before but I bet having a little kid at home extends Craig's career by at least a few years. Young kids are a complete beating, especially at 60 and he doesn't strike me as a guy who just wants to hang it up and be a devoted girl dad. Not saying he's a bad parent, just probably nice to be able to escape to California and the Super Bowl for a few weeks out of the year not to mention getting out of the house every day. All that being said, it wouldn't surprise me if he called it quits tomorrow.

last Troy Aikman show Craig ended it by saying something like "thats the last time we'll talk to Troy" and didn't follow it up with "this season"

So hypothetical:

Would you rather them disappear quietly? Kind of like Rhines left? Maybe some music hints throughout the last day coming out of breaks that this is their last Friday?

Or would you rather them announce tomorrow that their last show will be on 3/31 (for example)?

Announce. IMO we deserve it. And to hear them celebrate it. And the others to pay homage.

I'd be highly disappointed if they just walked away without a farewell day at a minimum. Maybe a week and bring back all the big name guests and personalities.

Hell Gordo will need a month to run through every fake he does one last time.

The selfish part of me wants them to announce it. The realistic part of me understands that I'll be worthless from 6 to 9 for that entire period. I'd want to soak it up.

And I bet you're right…the guest list would be incredible.

I think Id prefer an instant format change so I dont feel obligated to listen to whatever junk they roll out. 25+ year habit will be easier to break

I feel like The Musers will announce and have a long goodbye.

Rhynes was bitter and wanted to middle finger Cumulus.

The guys mean too much and what they've accomplished is awesome. They'd want to celebrate it not because of ego but because it's just.

At least that's what I hope. .

Jub can get emotional about the Southwest Conference while Junior talks about a boring vacation, book, or ride to call it good.

I have no idea how Gordo says goodbye though. Trying to tidy up and put a bow on what he's created is impossible.

I used to own the Ticket soundboard App. And would break out a good fart gun or Ethel "What?"/ "Okay Bye"

But they didn't continue that and it stopped working with the OS updates.

I doubt it. Cumulus has been trying to get relevant in digital media and even had an investor press release about the musers doing a podcast when it started. Im sure its been forced on them
