Uhh, I went once in my fish year (2000/2001). It was a bit more ghetto than I remember as a kid. Fun, but I would watch out for the ghetto-lings.

I think the bowling alley is still open, IIRC.

The kids I used to teach in Alief went there a lot. That tells me it's pretty ghetto.

It used to be Fame City Waterworks. It's located in Alief on Beechnut & Eldridge.

...and it was GLORIOUS!

Went to some "anti drug" meeting one time in middle school, all day. Got to go to the 2nd floor, where the glass building in the front was.

Kind of took the magic away when we got to tour it as a "treat". But we couldn't/didn't get to play.

Track 21 is fun. gets kinda pricey though...damn near $20 per 10 minute race.

its a go kart track/laser tag in an old empty K-mart.

Haven't been to track 21 but heard it's a blast, I've been to the one similar behind the Ferrari Dealership and it was fun. Your forearms can get a good workout if the cart layout is similar.

looks like that Houston Fasttrack is the old Speedys Go-Karts. man, ive been to many a birthday party there as a kid.

White, Track 21 is basically the smae setup as the old Davy Jones Kartzone by Ferarri.... didnt that place shut down though? havent been over there in years.

The only website (recently) that was worse than that racetrack one was a paintball website (some place in SW houston). But both are pretty bad...

We've been to Zuma a couple of times in the last year for convenient mini-golf, which was fun. The go-karts never exploded while we were there, and while we were wary going back to the car in the dark, on a Saturday afternoon the worse thing that will happen is not finding a working token machine.

I went to Zuma back in January to use the batting cages. I probably hadn't been there since 96 or 97. I don't think the maintenance or new video game delivery guy had been there since then either. One of the batting helmets they gave us was broken and had a big hole missing out of the top of it. About 1 in 15 balls were deformed and would thereby have highly irregular flightpaths.

Walking through the arcade, I don't recall seeing a single game that wasn't at least 10 years old.

And the whole place smelled bad.

My brother and his best friend had season passes to Funplex for a couple of summers in high school and I was bribed into taking them from time to time. Not a bad little place. Pretty impressive water park from what a recall for a little rinky dink neighborhood place. Looking at the map, did they tear out the water park stuff?

There's a place in Missouri City on Murphy that I take my nephews to from time to time. One small gocart track, lots of arcade games and 36 holes of putt putt.

I know, after looking at it I thought "wow they must not have updated this site since 98. Then I saw the banner going across saying it was updated in 09.

Nothing better than going to the ole batting cage and having it snap off 12 to 6'ers. Anyone can hit a fastball but having to hit offspeed pitches, now that sounds like fun.

The one at Sharpstown? My grandparents used to take us there and let us play.

Anybody remember Games People Play over off 1960??? I remember that place being fun as a kid. Went out of business in the late 80's or early 90's. Still remember the nasty wet green carpet on the steps going up to the waterslides.
