When this guy won the AG race we figured it would end like this. He works for Rodney Ellis, and Lina and her cronies will never be held accountable.

So we have not one, but 2 people create threads to blame the new county DA when it says in the body of both articles that Paxton's department is the one that threw out the case. Looks like some of yall didn't actually pass the TAAS/TAKS/STAAR test

Well, the lawyer who got Paxton off is a buddy of Teare's, so I'm assuming there was a quid pro quo between Teare, Paxton, and Hidalgo. They'll all work together to keep each other out of jail. There was zero reason for Paxton to drop the case, other than some unknown favor that we won't find out about. They're all as crooked as coathangers.

The lawyer for the defendant quoted in the article is Dan Cogdell, who also represented Paxton at his impeachment trial.

*I read that in another article, but here's one:

Quote:

Dan Cogdell, one of Triantaphyllis' lawyers, said the accusation is effectively meaningless as his client doesn't have to admit to any wrongdoing as part of the deal.
"There's no acceptance of responsibilities; there's no admission of guilt; there's no restitution; there's no fine," Cogdell said.
The prosecutors with Paxton's office took on Triantaphyllis' case last April at Ogg's behest, a decision she believed at the time would safeguard the prosecution from Sean Teare if he won the November election, which he did. Teare recused his administration from the cases once in office.

Just shameful, and the people are powerless to do anything. The people we literally elect to prosecute law breakers won't do their job.
