Cross posting from the Home Improvement board. I'm looking to have some custom built-ins installed in my living room, located in Cypress, TX. Would likely need some electrical outlets moved with this project as well. Don't know exactly where to start with this type of thing, so need the collective knowledge of Texags to help me identify a capable and reasonably priced contractor/company. Not wanting to DIY. Any recommendations are appreciated!

I doubt a contractor would want to do something this small. Or they would price themselves out of the job. Just find an electrician to move the outlets and find a carpenter/painter.

Look up Cypress Woodworking owned by Clint Liller. They're recommended on our neighborhood page a bunch.

My wife and I were referred to William at We Are Carpentry a few years ago. His Instagram is we_are_carpentry and his contact information is on his profile.

I believe he lives in Cypress, but he didn't have an issue coming to the Heights. He installed a custom cabinet in our master bathroom a few years ago and more recently handled the renovation of our pantry (custom drawers, backsplash, countertops, painting) and it turned out great. He had an electrician friend that was able to install outlets too.

He was great at communicating, reasonably priced, and timely.

Bjork Remodeling. Used him multiple times. He does great work, fairly priced and doesn't cut corners. He's done entertainment centers, office built ins and a mud room for me. He's done a lot of other stuff for folks I've recommended him to. He lives in Katy and builds and paints at his house. So he basically just does the install at your house which is great - no mess.

There are lots and lots of contractors who do jobs like this. Finding the right person and price is the challenge.

OP, a thread on r/houston a while back had several recs if you want to scroll. I saved the link for something we may be doing in the near future.

We used William several years back for some built-ins in our study. He was very reasonable and does good work.
