For those of you with auto-fill, is it typical for the auto-fill to run non-stop for 4+ days?
My previous pool (25 years ago) just had a manual fill-line, so this auto-fill thing is new to me.
It basically sounds like a slow tire leak pssssssssssssssssss!

It's a new pool and I mentioned it to the supv a couple of weeks ago and he came out and adjusted the float thing by one notch. At the same time, he turned off the auto-fill valve for a few days just to make sure there was no pool leak... The water level didn't change at all so that was good news.

But the auto-fill just seems to run non-stop... we haven't used the pool in 4 days so it's not like water is flowing out of the overflow drain. If that's just the way it is, then so be it, it's just a little annoying hearing that pssssss all the time.

Water has to go somewhere. Maybe it is a cheap float valve that makes noise while just barely open. If it was wfo, you would have water running downhill somewhere.
I can't tell anything about my autofill. It does it's thing and I don't notice.

If it bothers you that much, just turn it off and fill manually when needed. Mine is new but doesn't have auto fill. Didn't know this till too late, and thought it would be a much bigger issue than it is. I put water in it pretty infrequently.

My builder installed a fill line but not the auto fill float thing. I put a sprinkler valve on the fill line and connected it to my Rachio. I've had no issues with this for over 5 years. Took little bit of trial and error but I have it figured out how long need to run the fill for each season.

Is there any type of waterfall feature?
That will cause a lot of evaporation.
We remodeled our pool and added a spa several years ago. Now spa circulates and spills over into main pool. This increased evaporation tremendously.

I have one but cant seem to set it properly, I just manual fill it when needed.
