Just got my 'time to renew' letter from Constellation. Looking like $0.10/kWh (1000+kWh usage) on a 24mo. contract is the sweet spot.

Is that before or after all of the fees?

I just looked at my June bill... I'm at $0.081 per kwh before fees. I'm in the middle of a contract that doesn't expire until 2027.

I would take $0.10 for 24 months in a heartbeat.

I'm $0.08 per kwh. I also pay a $23 flat monthly rate to the company that regularly shops my contract.

I'm at 8.71 before fees. Fees are 3.562/kWh. Two years into a 3 year contract.

I always get hosed because I typically only use 1000+ kWh three months out of the year.

Guess I should've read the finer print on these dumb things since I haven't had to shop it for 3yrs. Bill credits if you use over 1000kWh. $.201/kWh if under 1000kWh.

Looking at my usage from last year, I used over 1000kWh six months. The cool months I used less than 500 three months and 600 the other three. That doesn't math well with the bill credit options.

Fixed rate of $0.078/kWh before fees from Amigo seems to be best option. Given the steep differences in my usage during the off months and if I'm gone a lot.

Amigo and Tera are the same company...
I wouldn't be surprised to do some digging and find out that Just Energy is part of them as well. Notice they all have a Sustainable _______ 13 plan.

I'm with Thigbe. They shop rates for me. I'm currently at $.071 before fees, and have had an average at $.11 after fees for the last several months. We just had 2 new ACs installed and my usage has gone down due to more efficient systems.

Also don't worry about the company rating.
The bad reviews are from folks that can't pay their bills; ow or zero credit customers that require deposits etc. The complains about slamming (changing you plans) are almost always folks that let their plan expire and ended up in whatever the contact said they would be out onto. Same for the complaints about cramming, people that didn't read the fine print regarding fees.
