I have a 14k gold rope chain that broke right by the clasp. I want to get it repaired and have it shortened from 22" to 19". Don't want to take to some random jeweler, as this chain was my dad's and has sentimental value.

Can anyone recommend a jeweler that can shorten the chain and replace the clasp?

Also, what should this cost? I have a quote from a guy here in El Campo for $250. That seems high, but I have no experience here.
