I need a referral / recommendation for a Private Investigator in Houston that's good at marital infidelity cases / divorce cases. Not for me but this is a serious and urgent question, hoping for a few options to share. I know FSGuide is recommended on the Outdoors Board and I will be sending him a PM, but I don't know if he handles these kinds of cases, so I'm casting a wider net. Thanks very much in advance.

If you are hiring a PI for this, relationship is already doomed.
Correct the relationship is doomed, it's more about getting divorce negotiation leverage based on some suspicions. The husband has just filed.

In fact, I think this person would be better off spending the PI money on a better attorney. If they've filed and they're now trying to get evidence of cheating, they're kind of doing it backwards.
I'd also be curious if infidelity has much to do with a better settlement if the cheating person also hires a good attorney.
Sounds like ol boy already has his answer so he's just going to waste money on evidence for personal satisfaction more than anything else.
Also, there's a place called Wish's where he may just want to camp out at for a few nights and save PI money.

My thoughts exactly.
Easy to informally snoop around emails and texts or throw on location tracking on iphone when everything is normal. And if she doesn't suspect her husband knows anything then she will likely let her guard down and be careless in visiting and communicating with the other guy.
But once papers are served? She's now on full alert. Going to be in defensive mode and on best behavior until divorce is closed.
My buddy did one of the best things ever in his divorce, his partner pulled him aside and told him here is your attorney. It was a female. He told me that a female lawyer will not pull punches with a woman and will be vicious where a male attorney will be considered crossing the lines when it comes to infidelity.

OP, typically you hire the attorney first, and the attorney handles the PI.
