Looking to see if anyone has some practice balls they would like to part with. We've outgrown our old ones and need to move on to "real" balls.

We're in Katy and I work in the Tomball area. Appreciate it, thank you.

Maybe get in touch with the Astros' equipment manager. Those balls are practically brand new since they rarely get hit by the players.

Get on Facebook and check out the Houston select baseball groups. Folks there are always selling stuff like that.

They do. Was just in Academy and they had sh**loads of baseballs. Not sure what the issue is here.

Those would be like throwing a big marble for younger kids. Very low laces. Also, most of the game used balls get authenticated and sold these days.

I mean…I figure that's the case as well, but it's not like is asking about a used batting cage or some other piece of equipment that is thousands of dollars hoping to find a deal. A 5 gallon bucket of baseballs is $20.

You have not shopped for baseballs lately. The cheapest you can find them are $20 for a dozen, but that is for the cheap synthetic leather balls. For a true leather game-use baseball, the cheapest you can find them is close to $50 per dozen.

To the OP, unless someone has a special connection, I have not been able to find a good source for used baseballs. They show up on Facebook Marketplace, but usually the price they are asking isn't that much cheaper than a new ball. Good baseballs are like gold.
