Looking for a boot shiner in greater Houston. Pre-covid there was an absolute miracle worker at the Mister Carwash on Westheimer in Westchase district. Unsuccessfully tried tracking him down since then.
Any recs for a legit boot/shoe shiner in Greater Houston?
Thanks

Right there with you on the shine guys at Mister Car Wash. The guy on Westheimer and the guy on Gessner were awesome.

Most places now don't have an immediate turn around.

The only place I've found that will do it while you wait is by Little Pappasitos at Richmond and Kirby. Still took about 30 minutes and they don't do it while you sit in a chair. Bring them in and hand them off.

might have to revisit there or call. Been there before and they said I'd have to drop them off. Wasn't looking to drop off.

Specs midtown has a guy. There used to be someone in the downtown tunnels, not sure if he is still there.

i asked frequently where the shine guy at the westheimer location went to…… best I got was they thought he went to one of the high rises near galleria area.
Honestly no telling now with the current immigration status climate. lol

Yah, I'm basically just looking to walk in, sit down and get them shined up. Here's a pic from the guy at mister car wash on westheimer pre-Covid. Charged maybe $10-15.
Before and after of my daily wear steel toe Double H work boots.

Go to NRG when committees are in the Center at night. There are always shine guys up on the second floor.

The best boot shine is in my backyard.

But seriously I picked up some saddle soap, leather conditioner, shoe polish, a rag, and a brush and just DIY.

No you can't see yourself in them but it beats the hassle of taking them somewhere.

West Memorial Barbershop has a guy that will shine them while you get a haircut. Or you can drop them off. Call to see what days he is there. Name is Perry.

The dude below 1001 fannin was great. Used to love taking with him about fishing and "dry land fishing"

Sam's in westbury is great, and I got a great shine in the OKC airport a couple months ago

Go to Times Barber Shop on Southwest Freeway. 2041 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77098

Leon still does the in-chair shine or you can drop off. He's getting up there in age, but can still shine well.

You can go to Tecovas, but they may only shine Tecovas boots? I wear mine from time to time just to stop in and get a free shine and suck down a few free cocktails.

I could have 3 pairs of boots/low quarters shinged during CQ during the week. Have you tried hauling them to the quad?
