Anyone have any insight on the huge new Colton neighborhood going in just north of Magnolia? We are considering building but just wanted to ask around. They have some really nice houses at good prices right now since it is still in stage 1 of building out.

Fair point - the name is actually a combination of college station and houston since it's basically right in the middle

That should be a great area for 10 to 20 years. You and your neighbors will build great neighborhoods, schools and community.

That's the cue for the apartment developers come in.

At that point those of us closer to the city will send future supply of ratchet people up your way. Not out of spite…it's just an oversupply problem.

50 years from now you'll be charging your teeth and posting on Texags about how great Colton used to be.

Oh the apartments will be in way before then.

But maybe they will wait for the next "loop"

This is hilarious and entirely too true. It's part of the reason we are looking at moving. They are building three huge apartment complexes just down the street from us where we only have a two lane road and already have traffic issues. It's going to be a nightmare
