auburn is suck town over the holidays and summer........i miss amarillo.

How did you get to Auburn from Amarillo?

i was on active duty in the army, my dad took a job at Auburn. I was at ft. benning like 30 mins away. my stuff and car were here, and tuition at auburn is insanely cheap for me sooooooooooooo war eagle!

We spent a year at Auburn while my wife did her veterinary internship. Are they still living in the 1950's?

we're starting to grow pretty fast. it reminds me of how college station was circa 1994. We just got a target like 18 months ago and Sam's is scheduled to open in january. it's growing very quickly residentially and boasts one of the top school districts in the country. (i want to say top 10, but top 50 for sure) The bar scene sucks, we have like 4 downtown, and 2 that are of any worth elsewhere around town. The mall needs some serious help, and the dining scene is actually not that bad. The movie theater is out-dated and over-priced. It's a pretty place, just not that much for a 23 year old to do during the holidays/summer/spring when football season isnt going on.



***my favorite thing to tell people is that hastings originated in Amarillo, Texas. It is also funny when they look at me and say, what the hell is hastings, and we have one in Auburn??****

I miss Amarillo too.

After hearing about the highlights of Auburn, I am missing what Amarillo had to offer too.

Get a burger and drunk at Niffers.

ha you have to park like a mile down the road to get into this place --- they have the smallest parking lot ever and offer 1.00 bottles during the week. it's sometimes more of a hassle to get in there that i'd rather spend 1.50 more on beer somewhere than waste 20 dollars in gas to get in to niffer's. great burgers and really good weekday specials on top of their dollar beer though.
