Wish I could help, but I'm not that familiar with "downtown" here. I like J&M's though.

Buns Over Texas, they used to have buy 1 get one free coupons in the phone book (I moved from Lubbock 3 years ago.)

The ex and I could eat for $6.50 with coupon.

Good enough to go to at full price.

It's not downtown, south loop & Indiana.

For BBQ, I liked Bighams on 19th. Didn't like the one on 82nd.

Used to be a little tiny place on the Idalou highway with the world's best onion rings. It was a few miles out of town. Anyone remember the name and is it still around?

Canyon, you're thinking about Mothers. They opened one briefly at the South Loop and 289 in a location that had been restaurant after restaurant.

The one near Idalou was pretty good.

Muther's went out of business last account I had.

I used to eat there a bunch when I lived out that way. Then they tried opening another one and both went under.
