What kind of Lubbock A&M Club activites would you attend if any?

Are there any activities that we have done in the past that you would like to see again?

Are there any new activites that you would like to see?

I realize that many of you can't participate a lot due to jobs, school or raising children. Or maybe your social life is full already.

We can't do anything really expensive or elaborate, but would love to hear your ideas.

I have been wanting to get involved with the Lubbock A&M club, but I must have been living under a rock because I haven't heard anything. I am surprised that I haven't seen anyone on here trying to organize A&M game watching parties for basketball.

What kind of Lubbock A&M Club activites would you attend if any? Definitely Game watching Parties for A&M basketball

Are there any activities that we have done in the past that you would like to see again? Haven't been to one yet.

Are there any new activites that you would like to see? We went camping with the Arlington Aggies when we were in Dallas and it was a good time.

OTher than that, I am useless.

Thanks for your input wreckncrew! We have had some March Madness game watching parties at Fox and Hound in the past, and we hope to do that again this year. I guess we should think about doing this for some of our Big 12 games as well.

We send emails about our activities to our dues-paying members, but we also try to post all of our activities on our web site (browse for Lubbock A&M Club), and I will plan to post our activities on this forum as well.

Camping, huh? That might be a fun family activity for us to try.

I'd love to go to some happy hours. Camping would also be fun.

I'd love to be more active in the Lubbock A&M Club. The problem with law students is that we are sporadic and fairly self-serving--above all, school will come first, so you cannot exactly count on us.

Hi Suzy! Yes, I know you law students have to study, plus you have the Aggie Bar for Aggie fellowship. We used to have some decent Happy Hours a few years ago at Fox and Hound. What's a good place these days for Happy Hour?

How about some 4-man scrambles? I know that everyone doesn't golf but it would be as good a time to learn. Or make it an event and raise money for scholarships. But I am just about the golf.

BTW, I don't want Suzy on my team because she is terrible.... Just kidding...she is atrocious.

I will try and think of other things, but they may all involve sports like an Olympic picnic event including tug-o-war, volleyball, water polo, horseshoes, ping pong, sack race relay, Texas Hold 'em...Old Army vs. New Army. I don't know. I got nothing...I am just thinking outloud.

Keep thinking wreckncrew! We need the ideas. Have you ever organized a golf tournament before? I think the Amarillo A&M Club does one as a fundraiser for scholarships. BTW Suzy could not be nearly as atrocious as I am.

I am totally down for some aggie fellowship. I have been extremely busy during cotton ginning season but that is starting to fade so I will be game for some other activities. I am game for whatever even if it is just watching mens b-ball once a week.

Aggies76, I have never been a part of a golf tournament, but I can find someone that we can talk to about putting one on. I will talk to some people at work and see what I can come up with.

Thanks Wreckncrew! I'm not much of a golfer but I think a golf tournament would attract a lot of Aggies in this area.

Aggies07, I will see what I can do about having basketball game watching parties. Does everyone still like Fox and Hound or would another place be better?
