In case anyone else can't find the post, the good guys won! I am going to be the reason Lubbock turns into a slum now that I can buy my booze close to home.

I think the good guys won, but isn't there a lawsuit that was filled that will delay this even further?

Uuuuum, the Yes vote won.

So, liquor sales are now legal with permit inside the city limits. I don't know if that is who you consider "the good guys" but there were good (and bad) people on both sides of the issue.

And yes, a lawsuit has been filed to postpone issuing of licenses based upon questions relating to zoning ordinances.
