Probably first wheat in Randall County about a week ago, going to be a poor crop here. Weekend rain kind of shut it down, though.

Had cut some in Sherman Cty. but rains that where badly needed stopped us. Got 2.5 inches. Anyway av. dryland around 18 bu. so far.

Dryland was hailed out to 50 bushel. Irrigated was 55 to 80 bushel.

Amazing what a good timely rain will do for wheat. Gotta thank the Man upstairs for this crop.

The man downstairs was responsible for the Randall County crop. Just cut a neighbor's irrigated 12 bushel crop.

When you guys got that late snowstorm with the thick insulating blanket of snow containing several inches of moisture and nitrogen, we got 12 degree weather with no snow/insulation/moisture.

A friend of mine works in friona and their insurance made them cut a 3 bushel/acre crop. Spent more on diesel than they will get for the grain.
