Can you still not drink in the casino?

It's been awhile since I've been to the Inn, so I can't remember the exact layout. However NM law prevents any casino from serving alcohol while in the casino proper, ie, playing at a table or machine or even walking thru. Most of them have a lounge connected, but you cannot carry your drink out of the lounge.

I think that is correct.

To drink alcohol, you have to stay in this little "corral" thing like some sort of pariah.

Ehh, that's the way it was last time I was there.
