COPS reality show is filming in Amarillo the next two weeks. I plan on not shaving, putting on my rattiest clothes, and speeding around A-town so I can get on TV. I'll be sure to wear some Aggie gear so you know it's me.

Maybe if I get really lucky, I can get in a fight with a cop of another race, and we can both get invited to the White House.

Back in the 1970s, my Dad and I had a running joke about turning on KVII-Pro News at 10 p.m. "... to see who got shot/stabbed/robbed on Amarillo Boulevard tonight ..."

Fond memory of Amarillo Blvd. I was 17 and going through the Amarillo MEPS station en route to Ft Benning, GA for basic training. I hung out with a couple of dudes and walked down the Blvd late at night. Strange experience for a wholesome kid from Lubbock getting solicited by prostitutes.
