I'm old, it ain't that hard. Like this:

{url}http://amarillo.com/stories/070509/new_news3.shtml{/url}

Except use brackets [ ] instead of { } and it looks like this:

http://amarillo.com/stories/070509/new_news3.shtml

But if you want to get fancy, use a code like this to put a link name instead of the URL. Works well when the URL is 100 characters long.

{url=http://amarillo.com/stories/070509/new_news3.shtml}Lighthouse{/url}

and when you use [ ] instead of { } it ends up looking like this

Make sure you don't use spaces anywhere in the link. Some browsers don't see the space and the page won't load.

For example, [url]http://www.texags.com[/url] works, but [url] http://www.texags.com[/url] doesn't.
