Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board that helped me and my family over the last 6 months in our move to Amarillo.
If anyone was wondering (probably not), my wife started her job in early May and has been staying at Residence Inn for the last 7 weeks. We moved into our new home in The Woodlands neighborhood last Friday.
Oddly enough, I prefer the heat hear to Houston. I know - dry heat, etc. But we were out at the Sox game on Sunday during the record high and I didn't sweat a bit. I'll take that over 90% humidity any day.
Now it's just a matter of getting used to the wind. Tuesday morning's storm felt like I was back in Houston during Hurricane Ike with the wind whistling through a gap in a window.
Hopefully I can meet up with some of you for a beer and a burger some time. Maybe the next Aggie club meet, perhaps.
Oh, and Dean, thanks for the tip on Mary Lou Lyons. She was absolutely wonderful to work with.
