I will be in Lubbock with about 6-8 people in a couple of weeks and was looking for a nice restaurant for dinner.

I had a friend (that graduated from Tech) tell me about Cagle's, but said he hadn't been there in years.

Any advice? Thanks.

Cagles is still good and reasonably priced. Las Barisas and Double Nickel are the high dollar steak houses.

If you are looking for upscale, go with Las Brisas or Double Nickel as mentioned. Both are good steakhouses. Another good option would be Stella's.

Las Brisas is much better to take clients too. Especially if you want to hang out and have some drinks afterwards. Nice patio thats heated and good bar
