The Texas Tech Law Aggie Bar Association is hosting our 5th annual Crawfish for CASA next Saturday (March 30). CASA is a volunteer organization who are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
Every year the Aggie Bar Association here at Texas Tech hosts this fundraiser. This year, it will occur on March 30 at Blue Mesa on Marsha Sharp across from Texas Tech University. Tickets are 15 dollars before the event and 20 dollars at the door. There will be all you can eat crawfish, a cash bar, live music, and a raffle. Raffle tickets are 5 dollars apiece and give you the chance to win either a Kliff Kingsbury signed football or a game worn Texas A&M Jersey. Tickets are being sold at the Texas Tech law school Monday-Friday until March 29.
