Headed to Hale County tomorrow for family gathering. One kid is leaving early that day to get back to Central Texas before the blizzard. The other has a plane leaving Lubbock Monday afternoon....assuming they are flying and we can get them there.

We are gonna feed like crazy tomorrow. Praying they've over hyped this storm.

In Amarillo to visit the mom and cutting the trip short to get in front of the storm. My wife is from Houston and it has snowed everytime she's visited including another big blizzard and driving from Friona to Lubbock on 6 inches of packed snow. Pretty sure she thinks Amarillo is a frozen tundra every winter!

I'm Santa Fe right now and this storm is not overhyped. Stay safe!

We are planning to leave Plano Monday morning around 4 am heading to Red River NM. Will be keeping a close eye on this.

Wind is howling in Lubbock. Freezing rain right now. Expecting a ton of snow.

Lubbock Emergency Operations Center was advising last night that there will be a lull Sunday morning, and then we will get hit hard.

Stay off the road.

Predictions were for 12 to 14 inches of snow.

They seem to have got it wrong.

I think they meant that as the minimum altitude of the snow as it blew over the ground.

My dryer filled up with snow due to all the wind. It was practically ice all the way up to the lint trap.
