Tons of birds up here for the second year in a row. Sure has been a nice change after the few drought years prior. Anyone here do much bird hunting this season?

Went out a couple of times this year. Quail numbers were great. I hope the pheasant can make a similar comeback.
Mostly waterfowl and have done well. I've shot a couple quail, but I guess I'm not where they are

Where are you? We did all of our hunting in Dickens county. Have heard great reports from most areas on the south plains.
I haven't been pheasant hunting in years. Guess I need to plan a trip up to the northern counties soon.

Hale and Floyd mostly. The time I did bag a few was south of Tahoka and then it was really way to windy to do well.
I'm really not set up for successful upland hunting. My lab is a damn good duck dog and will flush at 30 yards, but that leaves a lot of ground to cover
