This summer I saw and heard plenty of quail in Dickens county. Haven't seen any lately.

Drought and heat were extreme in many areas of the state. That does not usually bode well for quail or pheasant numbers.

Agreed, but we had plenty of rain in our area. Not sure what is going on, unless quail are less visible in September/October for some reason.
