Just wanted to take a moment to say howdy to all of you ags out there. I grew up in lubbock and Joined the army (EOD) as opposed to going to A&M. I have since graduated from Wayland Baptist(couldnt see spending my money at Tech). However I can assure you I am a good friend to A&M. I was wondering if there is any way that a non A&M grad can be apart of the aggie club in lubbock. Any help would be greatly appreciated. On another note my wife is a raider alumn and man has it been hard the last couple of years.

Hopefully the Lubbock guys will chime in, but in the meantime, I say "Welcome!"

I suspect the local A&M club will be happy for the support, and if you have kids, it will be a great way to indoctrinate them. The Association of Former Students accepts memberships from "Associates".

Thanks Canyonag. I will do that. I do have a little girl but she has already been turned on me from my wife. The deployments kept me from getting to her first. I was promised by her that our next child is all mine. I appreciate the info.

Having grown up out there and after graduating from A&M and living in the Pahandle for a number of years, I can assure you that there is strength in numbers and you will be well received.

We'd love to have you be part of the local AMC. The best way to get started is to come out to the Fox & Hound for the game watching party. There should be some local Ags there along with some Aggie TTU law school attendees.

Our next big event is the Christmas party where we elect the officers. It will be a great opportunity to meet everyone.

Be sure to volunteer to assist with the Bar-b-que when the Ags come to Lubbock next year. It is always lots of fun.

Our local group is kinda small but tightknit. You'll be a welcome addition.

Believe me, if you have the grades to get out of the Panhandle, then tech is not in your sights.

I know, I did not have the grades and got stuck in Lubbock until they were good enough for A&M to accept me.

Thanks for the kind comments. Yesterday morning they arrested some punk running in and out of peoples backyards do to my neighbors hearing my dogs go nuts. The detective is working on getting some prints off of him and the prints collected at my house to see if they match. I hope it is the guy so I can call this over. Thanks again everyone.
