I am looking for a place to propose to my girlfriend in Lubbock, if nothing is any good, I will just wait til next week.

hmmm....The sunsets are always beautiful out there...as well as the stars out in the country. Maybe take her to Palo Duro Canyon to watch the sunset? (if she's outdoorsy)

I agree with CanyonAg.

But if you are there. Go to Buffalo Springs Lake, Sit on the edge of the canyon on the far eastern side and watch the sun go down.

That is about the best that it gets out there.

I just hope the feedlot on the East side of Lubbock is not blowing your way; or a sand storm; hail storm or tornado.

Your best bet may be to wait until you can go somewhere actually romantic.

I'm actually just giving the Lubbockites a hard time, but cool outdoor places are kind of hard to find there. If you're an outdoor type, 100 miles north is Palo Duro Canyon. Or a little closer in is Caprock Canyons state park, near Quitaque.

The County Line restaurant in Lubbock used to have the best location, but they shut down. I saw on Texas Country Reporter a restaurant on the top floor of a building near Tech, perhaps it has some nice nighttime views????

Yeah, I planned on asking her during one of our rides...act like I have a flat and getting down to change it...we usually ride rode bikes though, but we do a lot of trail running as well.

Perhaps you could ride the trail, pop the question, then spend a romantic evening at The Hotel Turkey.

Hotel Turkey is damn cool.

And Caprock Canyons is one of my favorite state parks.

If you have time, you should go over there and propose.
